Description

Stage II colorectal cancer patients have a 20% risk of recurrence/relapse after surgery. Therefore, identification of patients who have risk of tumour recurrence is a key to increasing patients' survival. This proposal develops a tissue protein biomarker panel that differentiates stage II patients who are at high risk of recurrence after surgery from those who are cured. This biomarker panel will allow doctors to make better clinical decisions regarding treatment of high-risk stage II patients.
