Description

Simulation of quantum chemistry has the potential to provide an important application of quantum computers by enabling them to design new compounds and materials. This project will apply innovative new techniques in Hamiltonian simulation to quantum chemistry, with the goal of designing algorithms with a modest number of gates that could be implemented on quantum computers with about 50 qubits that are expected to become available during the lifetime of the project.
