Review of Breza excavations

The aim of the project is to re-examine field documentation and archaeological finds from excavations in Breza (Bosnia and Herzegovina) 1913, 1930 and 1959-1961, which were insufficiently published or not published at all. Existing documentation and material finds from National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina, partner in this project, will be collected, and interpreted through modern methodological approaches, potentially reshaping historical narratives for a deep eastern Adriatic hinterland in the period between Late Antiquity and early Middle Ages (6th-9th century). The project will result with co-authored monograph, several journal articles and other activities.
