Supporting the aims of the Aged Services Industry

The purpose of the project is to seek the Centre for Workforce Futures support in preparing 2 Discussion Papers to be approved by the Aged Services Industry Reference Committee (ASIRC) and assisting in the preliminary preparation of two other discussion papers which may lead to an opportunity for further engagement. The ASIRC will soon embark on a full review of the Aged Care qualifications and Units of Competency and is therefore imperative that prior research be conducted into the identified areas to give the ASIRC credible and factual direction. The research results are intended to form the foundation of and provide thought leadership to the aged services service providers, training providers and other interested parties such as the AgeCare Quality Standards authority and will assist the ASIRC to better position itself when embarking on the comprehensive review into the Aged Care qualifications and Units of Competency.
