Description

This survey inquires about the current belief of researchers, clinicians, and technologists in the field of hearing and deafness as to the primary pathology contributing to presbycusis (age-related hearing loss) as well as the therapeutic solutions.

Key findings

This survey confirms the common belief in the hearing and deafness field that the damage to the sensory outer hair cells is the primary cause of age-related hearing loss.

The following questions inquire about the current belief of researchers, clinicians, and technologists in the field of hearing and deafness as to the primary pathology contributing to presbycusis (age-related hearing loss) as well as the therapeutic solutions.
