Project Details
Description
Funding is sought to establish the Australian Sustainable Household (ASH) database. The database will be developed via a nationally representative survey of 3,000 households.
Data will be collected across 5 areas:
- Household infrastructure (smart technology, renovations)
- Household practices (energy/water conservation, food, cycling)
- Infrastructure/practices beyond the household (community gardens, public transport)
- Community, network and engagement (community groups, friends, family)
- Information, governance and policy (knowledge of government policy/rebates)
The first Australian national database of household sustainability practices and infrastructure will form the foundation of a major scholarly program, with long-term aims for longitudinal datasets with external funding partners.
