Banks are key enablers of global green innovation, mobilizing capital for sustainable initiatives through green loans and bonds. This study examines how banks’ green financing products influence firm performance and support their green transformation.
With regulators promoting green lending, banks have developed diverse products to finance renewable energy, eco-friendly infrastructure, and sustainable practices. These efforts not only help firms transition to greener operations but may also enhance their profitability and climate resilience. This research will analyse the impact of green financing on firm performance, exploring how banks drive green innovation and whether green finance creates a "green premium" for firms. Insights will guide banks, regulators, and firms in optimizing sustainable finance strategies for economic and environmental benefits
The Scholarship Provider will provide a Scholarship for up to one Macquarie Research Student. Stipend (living allowance) of $38,500 per student per year. The student identified for this project is Yujie Hong.
