This interdisciplinary project aims to develop a revolutionary antenna beam steering method, taking a new approach. It expects to produce compact, low-cost antenna systems with high performance, to circumvent the limitations of existing methods in emerging applications such as providing internet connectivity to those who are unconnected or poorly connected. Other expected outcomes of this interdisciplinary project include a new probability-based optimisation technique, design methods, new knowledge that fills current gaps, new capabilities, prototypes, test results, and training for young researchers. The project expects to bring significant social and economic benefits to regional communities, Australian industry, and scientists.
