This project will use eye tracking and computer modelling to better understand the perceptual, cognitive, and motor processes that are engaged during reading. More specifically, the project will examine the role of high-level language processing in constraining the earliest stages of word identification, including how information garnered form the parafoveal preview is integrated with high-quality information garnered when a word is fixated.
