Urban Digital Technologies in the Anthropocene

The OSP program aims to deepen our understanding of urban digital technologies in the Anthropocene, focusing on sustainability, justice and theoretical dimensions of the digital. The research is important as it addresses a growing area of urban technologies in a global context that is frequently overlooked. Empirical research will be conducted in Sydney on urban digital technologies, four academic articles will be written and one grant application drafted. Research collaborations will be enhanced with host institutions: the University of Sydney, RMIT, University of Exeter, and Griffith University. A broader and deeper research network will be facilitated by this OSP, increasing the likelihood of HDR student recruitment and grant success.
