Description

This project aims to restore locally missing wildlife to urban areas in the northern Sydney region. By working with seven Councils and three State government agencies our project will create a blue print for urban rewilding that is informed by ecological and community values. Expected outcomes include the restoration of ecosystem services provided by wildlife and increased opportunities for community engagement with nature. By focusing on urban wildlife restoration our project will expand the focus of rewilding from wilderness areas to urban areas where there is the greatest potential to engage and educate the public about the benefits of conserving our unique biodiversity.
