Using multilingual storytelling to enhance young EAL learners' literacy development

The study will use a qualitative, case study research design to determine the impact of multilingual storytelling pedagogy on EAL learners’ language and literacy development.
Participants will include 4-5 (Foundation/Stage 1) teachers from one culturally and linguistically diverse public primary school, approximately 25 students from a kindergarten class at the school, and 4-5 parents or caregivers.
The research will be conducted in a number of stages with multiple data methods being employed and their results triangulated.
