VaxGuard: Combating Malicious AI-Generated Vaccine Misinformation Campaigns

Misinformation surrounding vaccines poses challenges to public health and democracy. This multidisciplinary project focuses on addressing malicious AI-generated vaccine misinformation. Leveraging advancements in AI, we aim to develop innovative techniques to detect and combat such misinformation. By analyzing AI-generated content, we aim to curb the dissemination of false vaccine-related information and bolster confidence in trusted health sources. The expected outcome is new knowledge on the processing and ramifications of vaccine misinformation, which will inform the development of practical interventions. These promise to benefit stakeholders by countering deceptive practices, fostering a safer online health environment, and promoting a healthier information landscape.
