Description

Infrastructure: IMDView software, receiver moduie hardware and mmQ multiplier hardware

Like home audiophiles, “total harmonic distortion” is measured by turning the volume up and “listening” for buzzing. In wireless circuits this is called intermodulation distortion (IMD).The proposed infrastructure will extend to 90GHz our IMD capability extend (from 50GHz) and replace equipment we previously had access at partner Macom before they closed their Sydney office closed in 2018. Enhanced outcomes will include extending the Macom equipment to high-power gallium nitride circuits, essential work on the Linkage, a new piezo-electric phenomena discovered by us, and novel new circuits designed with partners DST Group and Analog Devices.
