Description

Strategic Scholarship (co-funding) MRes Y2 + PhD program (four years in total).

Project summary:
This project aims to achieve a design implementation of a high-power, high-efficient, safe, and cost-effective wireless power transfer (WPT) charging system compatible with different types of heavy electric vehicle (EV), such as mining haul trucks, and marine vessel applications, such as passenger ferries. The industry has assessed zero-emissions vehicles as part of the commitment to more environmentally sustainable operations. A zero-emission heavy EV not only provides less noxious gases, less heat and less particulates in the air to manage but also reduces the operational expenditure (i.e., complex ventilation system) influenced by the need to manage emissions from operating equipment. This is a positive and useful step toward providing cost-effective, sustainable, zero-emission transport services in the Australian industry and accelerating EV uptake.
