Description
Work readiness, or the ability to successfully transition into the workplace is an outcome of all university program. Macquarie University’s Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT) with its extended curriculum aims to produce graduates with a broadened skill set required to successfully navigate the modern healthcare system. Recent research in allied health has revealed six unique but interconnected domains contributing to work readiness, with four of these domains measured within a Work Readiness Scale for Allied Health professionals (WRS-AH). The aim of this research is to examine the perceived work readiness of DPT students using the WRS-AH, and to understand the contributors to work readiness more deeply.
