Abstract
当今学者越来越关注法律英语的词汇特点。利用AntConc和SPSS软件,对情态动词shall在海事公约英语语料库与普通英语语料库中的分布状况进行了统计分析。研究发现:情态动词shall在海事公约英语中的频次既明显高于其他情态动词,又明显高于其在普通英语中的使用频次;情态动词shall在海事公约英语和普通英语中的语义也有明显差异。
