Abstract

It's necessary to improve the scalability of Tunnel Broker systems with the load balancing method, when more and more users access to IPv6 networks during the IPv4/IPv6 transition period. Several possible approaches were analyzed and a Tunnel Broker-Based load balancing method was proposed, along with a scheduling algorithm combining weighted-least-tunnels scheduling and overloaded alarm. Simulation results show that the proposed load balancing method is efficient for scalable Tunnel Broker systems.
