A Christian epitaph from fourth-century Palaestina Tertia

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Publication of a grave stele with Christian epitaph recently auctioned and likely from illicit excavations at Zoara or its vicinity in Palestinia Tertia. Dated to 392 CE, it seems to attest an onomastic pattern in which the same lexical concept is reflected in the names of parent (Greek) and child (Semitic).
