Abstract

A laser tuning device is described which consists of a Littrow- mounted grating and a system of two flat mirrors, which compensates for displacement of the specularly reflected laser beam during the tuning operation. Wavelength selection involves adjustment of two linearly covariant micrometer heads. Design considerations, performance and comparison with other constant deviation devices are discussed.
