Abstract
Healthcare facilities are spaces driven to the wellbeing of patients and the functionality of the service provided. This review aims to study an overview about the influence of the space configuration on healthcare services. A systematic review of literature was conducted on SAGE journals, PubMed, Science Direct and ProQuest. The gathered information was analyzed and discussed. Some pertinent concepts are presented for a better understanding of the theme. The main involved agents in healthcare facilities found in this review are determined as providers and customers. The different perceptions among those agents are exposed, as well as the need to overcome them, seeking the best efficiency of the space towards the service impact.
