Abstract
A new species, Metavermilia arctica, is described from the Arctic Ocean. It differs from all foregoing species by combining characteristically small-pitted tube sculpture with a conical operculum possessing a flat distal plate. The genus is recorded for the first time in the region. Data on ecology and distribution of the new species are given.
