A prefetching algorithm in WWW based on user characterization

Abstract

During the past years, a number of efforts have been made to improve the latency perceived by a web client. In this paper, throwing forecasting the web page that a user may browse, some web pages were prefetched. If we know that the user is browsing a specific website, then the old web pages can be thrown and some new web pages can be prefetched. Simulations prove our proposed mechanism has high efficiency for most of the user on the Internet.
