Abstract
A small and simple triangular-ring-shaped printed monopole antenna is presented. The bandwidth (VSWR ≤ 2) of the antenna is found to be > 2:1, or 4.2 to 9.8 GHz. This antenna can be easily integrated with printed circuit board of a portable mobile device. Measured and simulated return losses and radiation patterns are discussed.
