Abstract

Standard serum CK activity does not always correlate with CK protein in serum. Immunoassay, used in conjunction with standard measurements of enzymatic activity, provides a means of detecting aberrant or inhibited enzymes. CK isozyme measurement by radioimmunoassay may provide better correlation with pathological processes.
