Abstract

A 450K-transistor video ghost canceller chip, which implements a flexibly configurable IIR and FIR filter, is described. A very compact digital filter tap operating at pixel rate of 14.32 MHz (4 • Fsc) allows 180 programmable taps to be implemented in a die area of 56.25 mm2 in a lμm TLM CMOS process. The device operates with 3.3- or 5-V power supplies.
