Abstract

In this paper a miniaturized ultrawideband multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO)/diversity antenna with fixed and reconfigurable band-stop/notch functionality is presented. The proposed MIMO elements exhibit an impedance match , for the frequency band of 3.1 - 12 GHz. Enhanced isolation of above 20 dB is obtained between antenna elements by using circular slotted decoupling structure. To achieve reconfigurable WLAN (5.5 GHz) band notch characteristics, PIN-Diodes are inserted in horizontal stubs at ground plane. Fixed band notch is achieved for interference mitigation at downlink X-band satellite (7.5 GHz). Moreover, the simulated as well as measured results are in desired limits.
