Abstract

We present two sets of simple and accurate closed-form expressions to compute the directivity of a circular microstrip antenna on suspended and composite substrates. The results have been compared with the results computed by the method of moments (MoM)-based commercial software Ensemble. Both models follow each other and are in good agreement with Ensemble.
