    Abstract

    I review our recent work on spectrally-controlled solid-state Raman lasers that encompasses the spectral extremes: broadband operation supporting 25 fs pulses, and single-longitudinal-mode continuous wave operation, both efficiently pumped by modest Watt-scale lasers.
