Abstract

Craniofacial surgery provides a meeting place for reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. Teamwork, together with modern imaging techniques, brings new dimensions to surgery of the craniofacial skeleton. Many techniques pioneered in complex cases are now regularly used in aesthetic surgery. Similarly, high standards of aesthetic surgery are now demanded in the more complex cases. Examples of this interface are given in each of the major categories of craniofacial deformity.
