Abstract

The existence and uniqueness of a solution to an integro-difFerential equation with retarded arguments Eire investigated in this paper. Local existence and uniqueness among functions w(t, z) continuously differentiable in the real variable t and holomorphic in the complex variable z is established by converting the problem to a functional equation in a scale of Banach spaces.
