    Abstract

This chapter provides an introduction to Evidence-Based Treatment of Child and Adolescent Anxiety and Depressive Disorders: A Competencies Based Approach. This is done by covering the genesis of the book in terms of the rationale for the competencies-based approach, a description of the model of therapist competencies that this book is based upon, and highlighting to the target clinical trainer, supervisor and therapist audience the aims, utility, and structure of the book and it’s chapters.
