Abstract

The organometallic conjugated complex H(C≡C)₂[W] ≡CC≡CC≡[W](C≡C)₂H {[W]=W(dppe)₂; dppe = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane} containing a ditungstenatetradecaheptayne unit was synthesized by utilizing a new and efficient coupling method. The stannylated derivative was converted to the tetranuclear complex, which exhibits efficient long-range electron transfer.
