Abstract
An analysis is presented of induced electric fields and their spatial derivatives in a tissue model resulting from current pulses flowing through coils of various shapes and orientations with respect to the tissue. Results indicate that the best performance is obtained for triangular coils. The advantages of quadruple coils, either triangular or square, are also shown.
