Abstract

This chapter maps Günther Anders's significant contributions to the phenomenology of technology and emotion and his pioneering work on global challenges such as global warming that are rooted in normalised behaviours and practices that contribute to future (and present) harms. It provides an overview of key texts and secondary literatures and is arranged in two parts. The first section tracks the early contributions to phenomenology and philosophical anthropology, the thematic part maps key ideas and applications.
