Abstract

The Vestfold Hills are located on the eastern coast of Antarctica, where Davis Station was established as a research centre in 1957. The geology, geomorphology, climatology and biota of this substantial ice-free area (oasis) are reviewed in a series of chapters, each abstracted separately in Geographical Abstracts A and/or Ecological Abstracts as appropriate. -P.J.Jarvis
