Abstract

We introduce Anti-Resonant Reflecting Acoustic Waveguides (ARRAWs), implementing guidance of GHz acoustics waves through anti-resonant reflection in the cladding layer. We show that ARRAWs can simultaneously guide mid-IR optical modes, and support strong Brillouin Scattering.
