The article was originally submitted as a research paper, but then has been accepted as a Letter to the editor. It focuses on COVID-19 infection that is rapidly spreading all over the world, with specific focus on pregnant women and their newborns. The main reason is due to the fact that these groups are more vulnerable and in a unique state of immune suppression. Therefore, it should receive special attention.
