Abstract
The second visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Australia in May 2023 after a hiatus of eight years is an assertion of strengthening Australia-India relations in almost all domains. Although the occasion for the visit is to attend the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad) summit with US President Joe Biden, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, however at the bilateral level, it will be instrumental in crystalising understanding of each other's security and strategic perspectives.
