Australia's external debt: the recent experience

Abstract

The article focuses on the economic condition of Australia. The country has experienced a change of external debt, a result of the accumulation of current account deficits (CAD). Regarding to this problem, the value of their dollar currency was depreciated. Net foreign income became the most damaging components in the CAD aspects. The author emphasizes that the expansion of projects can provide additional income that eventually reduce the debt.
