This is the second edition of the complete chronological reference catalogue (bibliochrony) of 428 records on alkaline and ultrabasic rocks in Arkansas. Many of the records refer to the micaceous peridotites (also called kimberlites, olivine madupites, or olivine lamproites) near Murfreesboro, as this occurrence (Prairie Creek or Crater of Diamonds) has been the subject of scientific and public interest for many years. The records include nine or more fields of information. The complete records are stored on BASIS as a private file on Informat's VAX computer in Toronto. The Arkansas reference catalogue forms part of a comprehensive database on diamonds and kimberlites worldwide, which has been developed by the authors within the B.P. Minerals International data system and is stored on a VAX computer. This database contains 17 000 bibliographic records at present and is continuously updated and augmented.-J.M.H.
