Contrasting Australasian and Antarctic proxy archive signals are being exploited to reconstruct regional- and
Southern Hemisphere-scale atmospheric circulation patterns, which indicate that the frequency of blocking
events across the southwest Pacific increased during the Medieval Climate Anomaly.
