Abstract

Various aspects of evolutionary systems can be observed in collaborative choreography. Australian choreographer Elizabeth Cameron Dalman and neuroscience researcher Paul Howard Mason came together to explore the evolutionary characteristics of an interactive group of people who share specific tasks among themselves. Variation, Selection, Organisation, Memory and Complexity are five characteristic processes of evolutionary systems revealed themselves in this study.
