Abstract
The article argues that nationalism has become a part of a cosmopolitan Chinese youth identity in overseas locations which seeks to express a natural desire by Chinese youth to redress China's inferior position amongst other nations. The recent waves of nationalism could be understood as they unfolded on the global stage through the Internet blogs, media-sharing platforms and personal communication tools which produced its cyberheroes and cybertraitors.
