Abstract

'Codes, Conflict of Laws, and Digital Jurisdictions' workshop series.
The PILIG and IPIG are excited to invite global legal scholars and practitioners to participate in a 3-part virtual workshop series on Private International Law and Emerging Technology. This workshop series will be a forum for in-depth engagement with works-in-progress at the intersection of private international law, internet policy, dispute resolution policies and the societal changes engendered by widespread adoption of new technologies. This first part of the series will focus on how powerful technologies disrupt conventional understanding of jurisdictional conflicts, from both theorical and practical perspectives.
