    Abstract

    Intracavity nonlinear second harmonic generation from a Q-switched, diode-end-pumped Nd:YVO4 laser operating on the 1342nm fundamental and subsequent external fourth harmonic generation in BBO have been used to demonstrate up to 20mW average power at 336nm at pulse repetition rates 20- 140kHz.
