Abstract

A scheme based on the combination of two intra-cavity non-linear processes was investigated. The processes included stimulated Raman scattering in Ba(NO3)2 and second harmonic generation in lithium tri-borate. This scheme converted 1064nm fundamental of a Nd:YVO4 laser to produce orange light at 598nm. Average power up to 5mW was generated at 598nm, for a 1.6W diode laser pump.
