Compact, pedestal-free femtosecond pulse compression employing highly nonlinear chalcogenide fiber

Abstract

We demonstrate efficient compression of low-power 6 ps pulses down to 420 fs pedestal free pulses at 1.5μm in an all-fiber scheme employing only 4 meters of As2Se3 fiber and a tailored chirped fiber Bragg grating.
