    Abstract

    The main forces promoting competition in telecommunication services are rapid growth in the importance of telecommunications in the business sector and profitability of the industry. Langdale critically examines the value of competition in the telecommunications industry in Australia, suggesting that the long term disadvantages far outweigh any benefits.-Author
