Abstract
Based upon the incremental inductance rule and the single-layer reduction (SLR) formulation, a unified conductor loss model for the multilayer microstrip line is presented. The model has a deviation of around 5% against the field-theoretic results from several sources for the important structures like shielded, composite, and inverted microstrip lines.
